TEAM AND ROLE OVERVIEW

As a key member of the Agri-Services team, you will be responsible for managing and strengthening aQysta’s agricultural supply chain across Nepal. This role focuses on ensuring a consistent, high-quality supply of agri-products by working closely with farmers, cooperatives, and internal teams. You will play a critical role in aligning production with export demand while maintaining quality, traceability, and sustainability standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and map potential farmer groups, cooperatives, and individual producers across different regions of Nepal.

  • Maintain an overview of export demand and supply of crops, ensuring sufficient supply in line with company goals.

  • Analyze supply gaps against export demand and work towards fulfilling them by identifying suitable regions and preparing farmers.

  • Conduct field visits to assess production potential, crop suitability, and sourcing feasibility.

  • Lead farmer engagement, including onboarding and orientation on aQysta’s quality standards and sourcing procedures.

  • Plan and coordinate sourcing activities based on production seasons and company needs.

  • Monitor crop production, harvesting timelines, and post-harvest handling at the field level.

  • Work closely with sales, agronomy, and quality teams to ensure timely and consistent supply.

  • Supervise implementation of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and organic standards.

  • Coordinate with field technicians, farmers, and cooperatives for timely and quality production.

  • Monitor harvesting, drying, grading, and storage processes to maintain product quality and traceability.

BACKGROUND AND SKILLS

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of field-level experience in agriculture supply chain, value chain, or agribusiness operations

  • Hands-on experience working with farmers, cooperatives, and rural communities

  • Experience in organic certification, sustainable agriculture programs, or quality control is an advantage

  • Experience in field supervision, procurement, and quality management

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Nepal’s agricultural systems, cropping patterns, and regional production potential

  • Knowledge of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), organic farming, and traceability systems

  • Good understanding of supply chain processes, sourcing, and volume planning

  • Knowledge of post-harvest management

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities

  • Strong data management and record-keeping skills
