TEAM AND ROLE OVERVIEW

Join our dynamic team as an Agriculture Assistant, where you will play a key role in supporting field operations, farmer coordination, and sourcing activities. This role offers hands-on experience working closely with farmers, cooperatives, and internal teams to strengthen agricultural value chains.

JOB PROFILE

Are you passionate about working directly with farmers and exploring agricultural production areas across Nepal? Are you eager to build your field experience in sourcing, farmer coordination, and agri-operations? If yes, we would love to have you on our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Travel to different regions of Nepal to identify and assess production areas for ginger, beans, turmeric, and timur.

  • Visit farms regularly to check crop condition, production status, and yield potential.

  • Conduct surveys with farmers to collect information on production, practices, and possibility of expansion.

  • Collect product samples (ginger, beans, turmeric, timur) when required for quality assessment.

  • Coordinate logistics for sample collection, aggregation, and transportation of produce.

  • Support on-boarding of new farmers, groups, and cooperatives by verifying their capacity and compliance with quality standards.

  • Coordinate with farmers, cooperatives, and collection centers for smooth sourcing.

  • Work closely with internal teams to align sourcing plans with demand.

  • Ensure proper documentation of all field activities, surveys, and sample records.

BACKGROUND AND SKILLS

Academic Background:

  • Diploma in Agriculture or related field

Work Experience:

  • Minimum one year of experience in a related field

Skills:

  • Willingness to travel and work in remote areas

  • Good communication skills to work with farmers and cooperatives

  • Ability to conduct field surveys, sampling, and quality assessment

  • Basic data recording and reporting skills

  • Planning and time management for field visits

  • Team coordination and relationship-building skills
