Our Story

Learn about our Journey from Renewable Technology Innovator to Farming Solution Providers

How We Started

We are dedicated to creating sustainable connections between smallholder farmers and reliable markets. Our CEO and co-founder, Pratap Thapa, grew up in a smallholder farming family in Nepal, where he witnessed the challenges farmers face. Founded in 2013 at the Technical University of Delft, aQysta initially focused on renewable irrigation technologies.

Our Mission

We aim to empower 1 million farmers with better access to markets, capital, knowledge, farming inputs and renewable energy technologies by 2030.

Cultivating Sustainability, Connecting Farmers to Markets

Through collaboration with farmers, we recognized their struggle with limited market access, prompting a strategic shift in 2021 to become a bridge between farmers and markets. Today, we empower farmers by fostering fair partnerships that enable them to thrive while providing markets with high-quality, sustainably grown produce.
