TEAM AND ROLE OVERVIEW
The Project Coordinator is being recruited in a full-time, project-based position to join the dynamic team of aQysta Nepal. This role will focus on coordinating ongoing projects in collaboration with project partners, ensuring effective implementation of agriculture value chain activities, and supporting the company’s mission of improving livelihoods of smallholder farmers through sustainable innovation.

As a Project Coordinator at aQysta Nepal, you will play a key role in strengthening value chains, supporting farmer engagement, and ensuring efficient project execution across Karnali and Sudurpaschim regions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and decide overlapping crop value chains among aQysta’s portfolio and project partners’ focus.
Identify and map potential farmer groups, cooperatives, and individual producers across Karnali and Sudurpashicm Province for selected value chains by coordinating with World Food Program, local level governments, provincial governments and other partners.
Conduct field visits and arrange local level meetings with lead farmers, cooperatives, etc among the working areas of World Food Program related projects for assessing potential, crop suitability, and sourcing feasibility.
Supervise field staffs during for site scoping survey, farmer group finalization.
Lead the overall on-boarding process for new farmers in these new working areas, including orientation on aQysta’s requirements, quality standards, and sourcing procedures.
Work closely with agri team for procurement, and quality to ensure timely and consistent alignment regarding supply goals.
Supervise field-level implementation of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and organic standards.
Coordinate with field technicians, farmers, and collection centers of new working areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim to ensure timely and quality production.
Documentation and presentation of project progress updates for reporting.
Stakeholder meeting and coordination among partners for sharing updates and leanings to achieve the project goals.
BACKGROUND AND SKILLS
Academic Background
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Supply Chain, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Work Experience
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in agriculture value chain, agribusiness, stakeholder management, or farmer engagement, out of which at least 2 years of experience in a Project Coordinator or similar role
Skills and Competencies
Strong understanding of Nepal’s agriculture value chains, cropping patterns, and export potential
Knowledge of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), organic farming, and traceability systems
Excellent communication skills in English and Nepali
Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills
Good organizational and time management abilities
Experience working directly with farmers, cooperatives, and field teams
Traits
Result-oriented and proactive
Self-driven with strong ownership
Willingness to travel frequently to Karnali and Sudurpaschim Province
